Positive: The accommodation was clean, conveniently located for visiting the city, and tea and coffee were provided. Negative: Communication before arrival was clear, but the messages were excessively long. Important information, such as cooking not being permitted, was buried among several pages of instructions rather than clearly stated in the Booking.com description. Also the discretion says fitness facilities but we didn't find them. The room was also extremely poorly soundproofed. We could hear normal activity in the neighbouring room, even though the guests were not being particularly loud. It's like the walls are made out of cardboard. The mattress had a plastic covering that made noise whenever we moved and it's just a weird thing to do. It's a double bed however I would sleep there alone. The bed transferred movement that sharing it felt like sleeping on an air mattress: every time one person moved, the other person felt it. We stayed elsewhere for the second night. Although we initially received a response suggesting a spare bed, after 6 hours of us trying to contact the owner, hence we didn't want to wait in our room. Our subsequent request for a refund for the unused night went unanswered. I would also recommend reading the owner’s responses to critical reviews before booking. While we appreciated the cleanliness, location and refreshments, the sleeping conditions and lack of follow-up were disappointing.
